Experienced Harley-Davidson® Certified Technician - 3 Years Experience

Job Functions:

  • Set-up, repair, maintain and customize internal and external customers' motorcycles in accordance with factory specifications and procedures.
  • Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible.
  • Complete work to ensure targeted levels of proficiency.
  • Accept work assignments from Service Writer/Manager.
  • Request parts for the job as early as possible when needs become known.
  • Identify runability issues or malfunctions accurately via test rides and other diagnostic methods.
  • Perform service, repair and customization work in accordance to factory specifications.
  • Assist Service Writer, when requested, with writing up work orders, communication with customers, test riding, or any other issue which will help ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate regarding work-in-progress to ensure customer may be informed timely of any changes, delays, additional work needed, and when work has been completed.
  • Notify Service Writer/Manager of additional work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that customer may be contacted.
  • Inspect pre-owned motorcycles.
  • Keep work areas as clean as possible and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness.
  • Complete repair order, set-up and pre-delivery inspection documentation, warranty logs, and proper filing.
  • Demonstrate superior product knowledge of parts and accessories, including fit, function, style and installation requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment for work which is clean and free of hazards. Take precautions to prevent accidents and wear personal protective equipment.
  • Provide prompt, dependable, high quality vehicle service to internal and external customers.
  • Excellent customer service confirmed through an internal scoring system, feedback, repeat business, referrals.
  • Daily Schedule managed to make the most of dealership resources & vehicles.
  • Provide customer with an overview of work performed at vehicle delivery, as needed.
  • After job is finished ensure proper completion and filing of paperwork.
  • Maintain technical (PHD and other) qualification by completing any necessary training programs assigned to you by the Service Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
